No love for BIONIC?
I was thinking...
Is there any specific reason the BIONIC, isn't getting much love in terms of rom development from Cyanogen and Bugless? Cyanogen seems to be more focused on the RAZR and Pete seems to be all over the Nexus devices, specifically the Nexus S, and I was wondering did the BIONIC just get forgotten in the mad release of new Droid devices or is there another reason behind this.

yes.... but not sor long I hope...
-
This sucks, I noticed that the BIONIC isn't even on the Cyanogen website anywhere, and Pete has also been very quiet on any development he may be doing for the BIONIC.
-
Pete won't develop for the Bionic because of the locked bootloader.

I think as soon as dhacker is done porting over ICS we will see a boost in development. I some of the devs are waiting for it to drop so they can use it as their base.

Really sad about this too. Honestly tho, with the onslaught of phones on the market, and ones yet to come, I don't blame developers. The Android market has simply exploded with the choices of phones. When they start working on a phone another one, bigger and better, emerges. It's hard to keep up!

I just feel lonely and forgotten in terms of development. I mean, I love this phone, rooted with a rom or stock, but I at least want options, or an ICS port. I'm hoping/waiting for SentioUI and RouUI to come out though, hopefully that will be a nice change, and maybe it will jumpstart development. One question though, why is the bootloader for the BIONIC locked and encrypted while other motorola phones, namely the RAZR, open?

Looks like the Thunderbolt is going to have a buddy in the forgotten phone graveyard. After all the hype for these two phones and seems like nobody cares about them anymore.

I think the Bionic was just unlucky. It came out too late to win the one category it was competitive in, hardware. Motorola just sealed it with the bootloader.
