That's what I used to get back to .886. I was able to restore back to that, but when I tried to root, nothing happens. It'll recognize my phone prompt me to hit any key to continue, but then nothing happens.

No, I was unrooted when I did the initial .893 update. I honestly had no inclination to root before and decided I wanted to do it after I reverted back. I'm guessing what I did was make it unrootable, huh?

Is this what you used http://th3oryrom.com/COMPILED/R3l3AS...ndows_V2.1.zip ? Do it over again and it should give you the option to go stock or root pick what you want to do.

So its not giving you any options or just not letting you do them? Theres gotta be a way we just gotta figure it out. Its not like you bricked your phone or anything. When you go into settings / about phone what does it say for system verison

It gives me the options. I click on #2 (which is the one I need) and then it says it's ready to root my Bionic whenever I am and to hit any key to start. So I'll a key and then nothing happens. Like I didn't hit anything.

The system version I have is 5.5.886.XT875.Verizon.en.US

    My kernel is 2.6.35.7-g68606e6

I think my kernel is different now and that's what's giving me problems, right?

No, no cheesecake. I wasn't rooted when I did the initial update. I went back using R3l3AS3DRoot and at the end of resetting, it asked whether or not I wanted to root and I elected not to. But then I decided I wanted to root, but now it won't work.
