Since this thread has bubbled back up to the top I might as well give an update. I was getting 15 hours average as measured by Badass Battery Monitor on .893, now after using .902 since Tuesday I'm up to 17.5 hours average. All I can say is hellz yeah!

What's you usage like? I only ask, because I turn LTE off and on CDMA only with light to medium usage (some texting, FB surfing, email, an hour or so of talk time and some Market downloads), I can get anywhere from 12-16 hours on the STANDARD battery without a problem. So, unless you're going through some heavy usage with LTE turned on, 15-17.5 hours isn't anything worth spending another $42 on...

I turn on LTE when streaming Google Music, Pandora, or Slacker, for a few hours a day. Other than that I use WiFi at home and 3G at work. I also play games like Tiny Tower when I get a break, which tend to burn through battery. Also some texting, surfing, email, Twitter, and reading with Kindle or Aldiko. With the standard battery I was getting 8-10 hours, 12 if I never turned on LTE. So for me the extended slim battery is worth it for the additional few hours. Others have different needs though, as your post demonstrates. That's why it's great that the Bionic has so many customization options, IMO.

If we are talking about this mugen 2000mAh item i totally agree!! i have very good experience, worth every penny!!!
I was worried about the price first, felt the urgence, got the item! but with use it totally justified the investment!
No wonder why they managed to gather a strong fan base on Facebook.

Ebay 4000mAh ten bucks up to 18 hours so far. Used mainly in 3g mode but checking out 4g Lte to see how long it can last. This thing rocks on lte. Low twenties mb download with near 10 uploads when I'm hitting 4 bars. Come on Ice Cream.

Woke up this morning after about 6 hours sleep, squeezed out about another 1 1/2 hour use and phone finally died. On charge now and says battery use was 1 day and 55 minutes. Not bad.

From one of higher extended batteries (the bulky one, not the slim one) one guy squeezed 85hours out of one charge (while using the phone alright)!!
