    SD card memory. WTH?

    I had 6 movies on my phone it said there was 10gb left. I added 2 more movies both 1 1/2 hour long and now it says that I only have 9184mb available. What the crap? 2 movies took up 9gb of memory? Can someone explain this to me? Thanks in advance

    formatted, a 16gb microSD card will turn into ~14gb. and depending on format/resolution, a full-length movie will be 700mb-1gig each....

    so 8 movies totalling ~5gb is completely feasible
