Movies+Droid=Frustration>(happy?)% of pie?
I know this topic is talked about a bit across this forum and many others, but I'm looking for a bit more specific information. Here is my problem, I have tried just about every format, method, app, converter and formula of the above to get results, yet each time #epicfail!
The equipment am running a :
MacBook Pro 2.2 with 2GB Ram, running OS 10.5.8.
Moto Droid with DroidMod, OC to 800mhz
I am using a paid version (support the dev) of Ripit
Toast Titanium
Handbreak
DVD Catalyst (cant get to work)
All I want is another Mac person to tell me what they use and how to get DVD movies to my Droid.
I have had very limited success, screen size is wrong, audio is wrong, or i get the "sorry video can not be played"
Please help.

I am by no means an expert on MACs...but I did come across this thread:
Video converter for MAC???
Sounds almost like what you are looking for.

DVD Catalyst is Windows-only (and works partially on Linux using Wine)
On a Mac, basically you need Handbrake (and VLC to work with commercial DVDs)
Select the iPhone profile in Handbrake as your starting point, that is the one that definitely should work. Maybe create a copy of it so you can save it as a separate Droid profile.
Then make changes in the profile to reflect your needs.

DVD Catalyst looks for drive letters, and the mounting system on a MAC is a bit different.
When I was working on DVD Catalyst for the MAC (which is due to time constraints on hold at the moment) it was one of the things that I ran into.

Did another encoding. I now have audio and video, but my audio and video are just off by a mill sec. anybody have a suggestion?
I am back to using Hand Brake to take it down from the Video_ts file RipIt has left me with. I have it being converted to a mp4 format, 688x304, 1000 kbs bit rate.
Is it possible to actually use the whole screen? Rather than the letter box its in now?
Thanks
