I am getting the Motorola Droid tomorrow and plan on using it as an mp3 player. Does it have a good enough music player for this or do I need to download one?

I am getting the Motorola Droid tomorrow and plan on using it as an mp3 player. Does it have a good enough music player for this or do I need to download one?
Is there a way or app that will allow the Droid to play .m4a files? So much of my music is in that format.

Thats funny, I've yet been successful with anything other than MP3. Even some MP3s it says are not compatible.
theres also btunes. it has a ipod player like interface. its new and in beta but running good on my droid.
That btunes is pretty sweet...even for beta...I was using Rockon....the interface is cool but it was really buggy!!
