My friend sent me music file transfer through my gmail which is set up on my droid is there anyway that i can download that on to my droid to have it as a music file? it only says preview when i open my email

Try long pressing on the file and see if it doesn't offer to save it to the SD card as an option.

I actually encountered this and found a fix from other threads. The gmail shortcut on the droid for some reason does not display the download button. The fix that I used is I created a shortcut from the web to my desktop on my droid. By doing this it gives me the ability to download songs from emails. Don't ask why it doesn't work from the default gmail link ? Hope it helps
