    Droid 2 Global audio distortion

    Seems whenever I try to play any music, it does pops and crackles. Also applications such as Ringdroid seem to do it as well. It happens on Stock and Fission, got a replacement phone, have literally tried about everything, different players such as Meridian, etc. The files play fine on my iPod. Youtube and Pandora radio work fine though.

    Any suggestions?

    A little more info please. How are you listening, headset, bluetooth speakers?

    If you're hearing it on the headset check to see if the jack is tight. If it's bluetooth it might be something wrong with the system.

    There are a couple of workarounds detailed in the first link. Moto shows signs of reviewing the problem in the second link.
