Wavesecure vs where's my droid vs...

Hey which one do you guys like and use.

Where's My Droid seems very lightweight. It's easy to use, just send an sms to sound an alarm or a different sms to get gps location. Problem is it can't turn on gps if it's off.

Wavesecure seems more robust but also more resource-heavy, I feel like it might slow down the phone a little but I don't know. It has the ability to lock the phone, but I use pattern lock anyway. It also has a limit on how many times you can track the phone. I don't remember if it can turn on gps.

Your preference (and reasons)? Any other programs?

Mobile Defense is the best IMHO. I had Wave Secure on both phones, uninstalled after trying Mobile Defense.

I have mobile defense also. I like it because it works finding your cellphone, locks, and has an alarm that works.

Thanks. I'll check it out. What do you like about Mobile Defense that Wave Secure is missing?

Has anyone has any experience with Lookout? Someone recommended that to me.

Same here. Had Wave Secure and made the switch to Mobile Defense. Mobile Defense is highly recommended.

Thumbs up Strange... Mobile Defense better??

very strange you guys say that

WaveSecure seem to be a far superior product to me..

Features wise it has more complete features such as backup (i love that i can back up SMS!), remote wipe, etc.

It also supports more phones and more countries/network (in fact, i tried Mobile Defense on G1 some time back, but i now switch to Droid and Mobile Defense won't even support that)

The only thing that MObile defense seem to be better is a prettier website..

Besides, it's the ADC2 winner, so i guess Google must see something in it, i'd trust Google's opinion..

I use Wheres My Droid and it has come in handy a couple times. It is perfect for my needs (misplacing phone around the house or office) and like you said is very lightweight and does what it is suppose to.
