I don't know if either one would take up the amount of screen space in a widget "block", but I vote to keep it as is. I also would rather not have the wi-fi, etc., since there are many programs out there that do that, but that is just my opinion. Good job on the program and using feedback from your customers to better your product.

I was saying a 2x1 vertical battery would be a nice widget orientation, or option at least.
I agree with not needing the extraneous functions. Since 2.1 hack and also the .apx release of the control widget, it's not necessary. JMHO.

Could add in a button for the battery history easily enough, not sure what you mean by battery usage? Also easy enough to add in system uptime and last unplugged time.
Thanks for the feedback. I understand the bit about usage varying to the extremes, that is why I'm not surprised when I see the app severely underrating the percent left after my phone has been idle for longer than normal. Your app is very useful for me for gauging my battery life.
I'm up to 84% accurate and as long as use my phone "normally" it is pretty much dead on.
As for the battery usage, I'm talking about the screen that shows the actual device usage: % running, %screen on, % BT on, %wifi On, %wifi running, and has different choices you can select to see, among other things, partial wake usage. This is internal to the phone, but there is no link in the settings to get to it. Apps like spare parts and better cut provide links to see the screen, and the battery status widget app also links to this screen. This screen is very useful for gauging usage.
Nice to see you hanging out here and listening to the feedback. Looking forward to any of my suggestions that you might implement.

I'm with you on that.

Not sure i'm understanding you, but you can get to that screen pretty quickly.
From the homescreen go to Settings>>About Phone>>Battery Use
Are you saying you just want this displayed automatically when clicking the Battery Left Widget?

So, there are 2 "links" or buttons I would like to see. One would launch "Settings>>About Phone>>Battery Use" that you noted.
The other button would launch the screen I described in the post. Spare Parts, Better Cut, and Battery Status are 3 apps that can launch the screen I'm talking about. BetterCut lists the link as "Settings - PowerUsageSummary" and basically it is a summary that the phone provides, but the user can't go through the settings menu to get to it like they can for the battery use.
Right now I used better cut to put shortcuts to the Battery Use you mention and the power use I'm talking about, but I was just saying it would be helpful to have buttons on the status screen of battery left to quickly launch them. When i check my battery life left, I usually also want to know how long my phone has been up, how long i've been running on battery, and quickly be able to link to see what apps have been using what % of the battery and basically how long my phone has been running, sleeping, using BT, wifi, etc.

Hi,
Any chance you could post some screenshots of this page? I don't see anything on Battery Status but I do see a few options on Spare Parts. I'm too tight to pay for Better Cut to see what's on there

I'm not rooted, don't think I can do I can do screen shot w/o being rooted. Let me see if I can find something on the web, otherwise, need to find a camera to take a photo.
On the screen shot for spare parts, its the screen that would show when launching "battery history."
ETA: can't find a decent camera here, i'll post some pics of the screen tonight when I get home.

Where is this in Better Cut? I'm rooted and can post screenshots of the Battery Status (for others' reference) and this one too. I don't see what you mean in the Better Cut Shortcuts list.

Thanks.
In BetterCut if you create a new short cut and choose 'activity' and wait for the screen to load, you can scroll down to 'Battery History' and it will make the short cut to the menu i'm talking about.
I see i posted the wrong thing before. It is 'Battery History' not 'Battery Use.'
In BatteryStatus you just click the percent sign on the widget and it gives you the battery details and has 3 buttons to launch battery use, battery history, and usage statistics, although I don't find usage statistics all that useful for battery matters. What I'm talking about for the battery left widget is something like how BatteryStatus does it, where the user can click the widget and see the details already given, with the uptime and unplugged time also provided and 2 buttons to launch the battery history and battery use screens.
