Why can't you assign SPAM with gmail on droid

Yes you can report spam.

After you open a message in Gmail, press the menu button, then press on "More", and then you have the "Report Spam" option.

...or in the main Inbox view, checkmark the message you want to report as SPAM, tap the Menu button, tap Report As Spam.

Main reason why I have Gmail check my pop3 accounts because the spam filter works good. I dont get any of that crap in my inbox anymore...Canada Meds we're the best crap hahaha

You can long press the message as well. There is an option in that menu.
