    Who's the maker? Is it imdb? I'm asking because at the moment I have no 3G or WiFi available so I can't download at the moment and there are several apps called "IMDb" on Androlib.com.

    Seldom use imdb for current movies but it's a treasure trove for researching old films and actors. Very happy to see it on the android platform.

    Anyone know what this brings to the table that Fandango / Flixster doesn't?

    As I already have both of those I don't see why I would need IMDB.

    IMDB is pretty cool and the website is hard to use but this app sure takes a lot of clicks to get to the place I usually want to go (that being "What was that guy in?")

    Open App
    Find Current Movie
    Click On Movie
    Click on All Cast
    Click on Actor
    Click on All Filmography
    Click on Actor

    I am not expert in those apps but I think IMDB is a completely different thing, it's a database of movies etc. It's my first port of call for "What was he in", trivia on movies, detailed reviews and explanations of things I didn't understand, etc. etc.
