rooted phones

This is a discussion on rooted phones within the Droid Applications forums, part of the Droid Apps category; how do i get the google maps to update if my phone is rooted? it always fails! please help!...

    how do i get the google maps to update if my phone is rooted? it always fails! please help!

    You need to give us more info. What steps did you take? Did you just "root" or did you install a new ROM? If so, which one?

    my friend figured it out and rooted it i had to buy set cpu and he overclocked it, he said somethin bout smokglass all i knw

    Are you on 2.1 or 2.2? Go into setting>about and look for android version.

    I had Map issues on 2.2 Jrummy Kangerade and this fixed it.
