Looking for a simple to-do app with notification

Don't need something for daily scheduling or planning. I am looking for something very basic that I can enter a reminder to pick up something or drop off something or call such and such person on such and such day and have it send me a reminder via notification. I have looked at a few on the market and they have way too many settings that I don't want to deal with. Looking to just enter what I need to do, the date, and be done with it.

I use Astrid tasks. Works great for me. Enter task, then you can enter notes about the task. There is a screen for deadlines to set date and time. Pops up in the notification bar when the deadline is reached. It also has a nice simple widget for viewing tasks.

I looked at Astrid and played with it but there is just too many settings. I am looking for simple. Enter pick up whatever on this date and send me a reminder. Don't need notes, agendas, color coded priorities, etc.

Try remindme or Ak notepad.. in the market, both simple and have reminders
