Gensoid/Snesoid/Nesoid Button Configuration

I downloaded Gensoid from the marketplace recently and am wondering what type of button configurations everyone is using? I was hoping to play some Sonic the Hedgehog, but was finding it difficult because it is hard to hit the diagonal directions with the way I had the keys set up. Any recommendations or is it going to be too tough to play an action game like Sonic?

This is the same obstacle I ran into. All action oriented games are near impossible to play with the d-pad and button layouts. The only games I could play half well were puzzle type games. Hopefully they will come out with a gamepad accessory that plugs into the micro-usb or uses BT soon.

I contacted the developer of the "oid" emulators today and asked if he could implement an option where we can rotate the screen so we can play with the d-pad on the left (and the screen beneath the keyboard), if that makes sense.

I tried out Jrioni arcade emulator today that had that option, and it worked great.

That's a great idea.

Something like that came to me today and I wondered why when I flip the phone landscape then upside down, it doesn't rotate all the way around. But having this done for the OIDs would make it a lot easier to play the games.

This option is already there...at least in my paid version of Snesoid. Came last update...

Funny that you say this...I was just messing around with the setting in Gensoid and remembered it had a virtual keyboard. I selected it and the virtual keyboard appeared on the bottom-left corner of the screen with the actual emulator game screen shifted over the the far right of the droid's screen. I then opened the physical keyboard and programmed my A, B, and C buttons to its keys. I can say that the Sonic game I tested this on played very well. I'm excited about these emulators now!
