when i add other apks from other systems should i keep all the apks alphabatized or leave them in alphabatized groups?

ex. all motoroi apks alphabatized, then all of say htc eris apks alphabatized, keeping all the motoroi apks separte from the htc apks

Either way. I think I'd rather see 3 camera's all next to each other with the phone brand designation next to it how you did.

With the camera maybe add (install camera, uninstall camera and you still have a functional camcorder in addition to your stock one)

I like that we named the thread "goodies from other phones" vs "apps from other phones" because here's some goodies someone might have use for.

Within the system.tar file is the /system/media/audio folder. In there are various alarms, ringtones, and other sounds someone may want to use to customize their own phone.

When you post the next tar and update the original post please include the android version along with the name of the phone the system.tar came from, thanks.

Thanks, and yes working on HTC DESIRE system.tar now, uploaded some apks from it already, will update list soon, and i'll add ringtones/notifications i've saved many from various system.tar [s] i've downloaded, most of which i need to re-download.. but i'll put the sounds up now, i believe all original DROID, NEXUS ONE, and HTC DESIRE ringtones and notifications.. those were the only ones i saved..
