Droid Apps for Kids (5 and 7 years old)

Lots of Droid apps for kids are crap (too frustrating, etc.) Here's a list of apps my kids like. Please post yours!

5 year old girl:
ABC's
Draw!
Bubble Wrap
Poke a Mole
Baby Puzzle
Spongebob Memory puzzle

little artist

7 year old boy:
He likes most of the above plus

Of course, I'd be extremely hesitant to allow my kids anywhere near my DROID, and don't consider it a child's device on any level.

They can always use their DS/DSI/PSP etc for that kind of thing - IMO

Ya, but when the DS/DSI/PSP runs out of batteries the Droid kid apps are a life saver for long road trips.

Toddler lock is a good app also once going they cant access anything at all.

My husband is a programmer and was also disappointed with a lot of kid's apps on droid, so he decided to partner with a local artist here in Seattle to make a new kid's game app (with the help of my 3 year old son - although the game is fun for up to age 8-10 or the very young at heart ).

It's a great deal for a 7-in-1 game, but you can also check out the free version to see if your kids like it. It's called, Dash & Ditto's Playground and you can find it at: http://market.android.com/searchq=pn...playgroundfree

The classic children's games they adapt in this app include: hopscotch, tic-tac-toe, a whack-a-mole style game, feed/catch baby bunnies (or even make them dance), jump rope, one hole of mini-golf and an original driving game where you pick up the animal characters in the school bus (this is my favorite, since I'm a mom, and I like the way it rewards my child for paying attention. )
