Maps - how to "save" a "place" ... work around.

This is a discussion on Maps - how to "save" a "place" ... work around. within the Droid Applications forums, part of the Droid Apps category; wow the destinations inside a folder is a great idea!! I just tried it and it is much faster than messing around with layers......

    wow the destinations inside a folder is a great idea!! I just tried it and it is much faster than messing around with layers...

    Thanks for the input - and added suggestions! I also like being able to use the "long homescreen press / shortcut / directions / save in the folder" method.

    Is there a way to save it as a shortcut *from* the NAV app? I don't always have the exact address, so I will pick a point on the map and use that as the destination....but I haven't found a way to save/create a shortcut from the NAV app?
