Any way to get apps reinstalled on new phone?
I have many apps I've purchased on my Droid phone. My phone has a couple of issues and Verizon tech has told me they could replace it with a new Droid.
Is there any way to do this and get the apps I had previously installed onto my new phone without paying for them again?

Yup, Log in with the same gmail and all you paid apps will be available.

When I exchanged, all my paid apps came back, and most of the free ones did too. Before the switch though I downloaded APLIST from the market. It generates a text file with every app you have and saves it to your sdcard. So I just went through and looked up the ones that didn't come back on their own.

APLIST saved me. I had just used it a day before there was a problem with the phone which required a battery pull/account removal/etc to get my phone working again correctly. I was able to retrieve the app names and put my phone back to the way it was.

Some Paid keys will not transfer using this method.
Apps like touchdown and Docs to go will not backup the Key.

I actually like leaving all the apps off my phone when I do a wipe. I add them back in as I need them. For me, it's a good way to shed those apps I DL'ed but didn't need after all.

APP list just makes a list, if you don't want it back, skip it.
