PhoneMyPc and VW Broadband Trouble?

I installed Phonemypc and it works great at work (still learning it actually) but not at home. The app on the computer just says 'connecting' but it never does. I disabled the firewall and all virus protection as a test but nothing. I connect to the internet via Verizon Wireless "broadband" and have had trouble with online backup software before. Has anyone had dealings with this app before? Proxy issue?

Any help would be appreciated.

Mine is not working today. Maybe they are having server issues.

Hi Danny,

I've played with this awesome program, a little bit.

Be sure your Windows Firewall allows PhoneMyPC to connect 'out' using port 49200. If that's not enough, check your router and see if it as some security feature preventing high-ports from being used, etc. Some routers default settings only allow ports 80 and 443 to be used without configuration.

I'm afraid I can't be more specific than that because no two routers are the same.

Last, I know people who use Verizon broadband and PhoneMyPC with great succces.
