App that roots/OCs/multi-touches and tethers for $5

remember once u install its going to ask u to replace (which i believe u did), then rename it in settings ssid (ur name or something)

i renamed it..searched on my laptop..it came up for bout 3 seconds. Came up as a computer to computer network...

so ima assume everything is all good

not suppose to be a computer to computer network is it? I tried connecting to it, it can't. also, i'm getting still zeros on my phone kB's..

ima run through this again for some one who just checked in
1) install app (pay the $5 its worth it)
2) after it installs it will tell you to reboot in recovery mode. You do this buy powering off. Hold x on the key board while holding x power back up, keep holding power until u see /!\, then while holding volume up hold the camera button. you will get a menu click on sd card update zip, after its done reboot.
3) after it reboot go into the app and follow this next step:
If you see a black screen, tap it! If you get an FC dialog after 5 seconds, close the app and relaunch it. You must check the remember box on the SU dialog, and you must restart the app after granting SU permission.
4) it may take a bit to install
5) flash 1.2 rom it will reset
6) when it ask you to wipe or save click save
7) if it ask mac or windows choose windows for pc users, linux for mac
8) there is along menu of default apps you can choose to install or not, in that is car home, facebook, amazon, alarm clock etc. make sure u look at that list. If you forget its ok just follow the instructions below
9) after it is all installed you may have some lagginess...give it 10 mins the do a resten, it normally will fix it.
10) the wifi fix is a couple of posts back
11) must install setcpu to oc and it will only max at 600 the update 2.0 will bring 125,250,500,600,800,1000
12) no live wall papers as far as i know

Look for an option named "remove car dock" and uncheck it. I'm not sure which menu it's on, since it has been a while since I've installed 1.2. You might want to ask the ROM maintainers (Berzerker and trevorj) about these questions, since it doesn't really have to do with the updater apk.

So im thinking about rooting and installing this app from scratch from the sholes website but would you guys recommend just paying the 5$ to do it for me cause I have not delve into rooting or any of the Driod tweaks yet.......

this is a good app if you are not really good at rooting because its alot of typing if u do it urself, this does it all for you

yeah 600 by default but u can throttle down with set cpu, the other ones will come later

the apps you downloaded from the market should reinstall themselves after you boot up( sometimes it takes a little while). but if you do other things to get apps which wont be discussed here, then no, you cant get them back. hope this helps if you were still curious

I had to manually install all my apps again, it took 5 minutes with this fast ass phone though.

I still can't believe it's only overclocked 50MHZ and is twice as fast. AMAZING!
