from what i am hearing, it is real hard to brick your phone.

if that is the case y to people throw "brick" around like its common. Have any one "ever" brick their phone just curious.

I bricked my first droid. It was pretty easy to do when we first got root, and didn't have recovery. I actually bricked mine because I made a typo in adb shell.

I'm not sure if other users are having the same problem using the sholesmod, but in landscape mode in 2.1, when I open the apps tab everything is buggy (while in landscape) any app I choose by visual cue launches a different app (although regular home screen has accurate touch response), and the on-screen home icon launches an app as opposed to going back to the home screen. When in vertical mode, the app tab screen has that nice fluid bending-over-edge thing (which disappears for me in landscape as landscape mode kindof zooms in weirdly, at least on my droid)
Is this just me or other users experiencing this?

Not on mine. If you rotate your phone to landscape it would swith to landscape. There is a setting for this and mine is checked, but still not working

Edit.. The setting is under Display setting /orientation/ you check that and it switches orientation automatically when you rotate your phone.
Edit #2 It switches on all screens but the home screen. Previously it would do switch to landscape when rotated, after this flash it will not on home screen

Are you talking about the 'Orientation' setting under display settings? That's only for Apps... I've never seen an option for having Home change....or are you using a different Home?

Maybe I am imaging things. But I could have swore stock allowed home screen to rotate without opening the keyboard. This rom does not

They replaced it. The hardware wasn't damaged, it just wouldn't boot, so it wasn't a loss for them. They can re-flash system and recovery from the bootloader.

i had that lagging this morning, i know what you talking about. I powered off and then back on and it went away. hope that helps
