    confused by calendar reminder

    I have calendar event scheduled for next week with a 1 week reminder. I got the notification today. So far, so good. But the notification indicates today's date, not next week. I guess I expected the notification to display the event's date, not today's. If I'm missing something obvious, I'll apologize in advance - I'm new to smartphones.

    Which calendar app are you using? I have noticed some puts a future date while some use the notification date...
