Add folders to email?

In the resident email app, there are two folders, inbox and trash. I would like to create another folder for saving emails, mainly because after I download my email with Outlook on my computer at home, they disappear from the Droid. Occasionally, I need to save a work related email to reference it from the phone later. It was really simple to do that with my old Windows Omnia. Anybody figure out how to create a folder yet? Also, how about emptying the trash folder all at once, instead of re-deleting each email separately? Any help would be appreciated.

To work around the issue of not being able to create a folder for saving emails, here's what can be done --- use the "draft" folder.

For any email you want to save, press "reply" then "save as draft".
Now the email will be in the draft folder.
