Screenshot ER is a screen capture app for all rooted devices, proven to work where nothing else does. Annoyed with your
ROM's crappy screenshot implementation? This app is for you.

Currently working on all known rooted devices. If it doesnt work for you, let us know and we will make it work.

Currently the only app working well with Superuser 3! We were first to Honeycomb and first again to this. Fancy that.

Could a developer at your company explain why they don't use the new SurfaceFlinger API available in Gingerbread 2.3.3 to do screenshots, so that non-rooted users can use the app too?

oh and could you please explain why you have such a provocative anti-root stance? is it some kind of root envy? if it is you know they have pills for that now - little green ones with penguins on them

Just about every phone out there can do basic things like screenshots without the need to hack/root the phone, except Android phones.
Google has finally realized this (Google the number of people complaining about the lack of this basic functionality), and supposedly released an update to their SurfaceFlinger screenshot API in GB 2.3.3
If I had a second throwaway phone that was not my primary communication device, I'd probably try rooting it.
And I kinda like being able to receive Verizon OTA updates without having to SBF.

The api still needs root or system permissions mate... so nothing has changed. This is still the best tool available!
