Shop Savvy fixed

It took all weekend, but we got ShopSavvy working on the Droid. There are some issues with the auto-focus and it is our understanding that a firmware update is in the works. Our initial update should resolve 90% of the current issues. The remaining 10% should be resolved by Motorola.

We have more than 20,000 retailers offering price and availability information to our users. More than a million folks scan barcodes with ShopSavvy each month - resulting in between 600,000 and 1,000,000 scans each day.

They serve two different purposes for me...

Barcode Scanner I use to scan QR codes for applications and 2D barcodes.

ShopSavvy I use to scan items in the store to do comparison shopping.

Two great programs, but for me they have two different uses. Your choice though.

I got it to work on two items but it just tries to focus on the rest. I'll wait for 12/11 before trying again.

scanning a barcode doesn't work for me, but i only tried one item. It's always stuck on auto-focusing

I uninstalled/reinstalled ShopSavvy, and now when I run it all it does is open a browser and take me to a Visa ad!

MY camera continues to suck, it still will not focus via shop savvy. It will now take photos and auto-focus but not barcodes. It also makes the clicking noise, I think I will exchange it.

Give it a day or so. Moto just pushed out a silent OTA camera fix, so that should resolve 90-100% of the camera problems you may have been having. I know I'm seeing the green corners 100% of the time now, and I'm pretty stoked about it. If your camera is still not working later today or tomorrow, definitely exchange it.
