Amazon Free App for April 27, 2011

Today's free app from Amazon is Business Calendar, normally around $5, ad-free, and highly rated.
EDIT: my intention to post this information was to bring to your attention the availability of a highly rated, free app, and not start a discussion of the pros and cons of installing Amazon software on your phone. Given that the only responses to this post were negative, I won't bother doing this again.

The version I got from Amazon is 1.1.0.0, the same version that is on Google's Market.

Have you noticed how Amazon Appstore apps quit working if you are logged out of Amazon Appstore on your phone?

I did download this calendar and I've been liking it so much better than the stock calendar!

The version I got from Amazon is 1.1.0.0, the same version that is on Google's Market.

I wouldn't suggest that, but I would say you should be open to all opinions.
If you just wanted someone to thank you, say so.

Otherwise we tend to look at all aspects of a given platform.
In this case - Amazons distribution channels.
The pros and cons of the Amazon apps thing has been debated. I guess you were just collateral damage.

Getting negative responses doesn't stop me from doing things.
I still download the free free app of the day if it looks interesting. I wouldn't pay for most of them though, so Amazon's marketing scheme is working on getting people to download apps they never would have downloaded.
