Question help with my scenario ??

hello folks...happy new year.... i've got a question i'd like to pose by using a scenario...

here's my scenario.... i'm browsing the web on my droid...then i get an email. i click on the notification bar and it takes me to my gmail where i read my new email. but then... how do i get back to the browser to get back to my internet search? i feel like I'm taking the long way.... i click on the HOME button (takes me out of gmail) and then swipe over to the screen where i have my broswer shortcut and select the browser icon where it picks up where i left off.

seems like there should be a quicker way for me to get back to the browser... or am i asking for too much?

is there an app switcher app that would bring me back to my original app faster?

    Thanks!!

Long press the home button and select the app you want to go back to.

OP was asking for a quicker way....

Longpresses are a BIG DEAL on this phone. Try them out.
