is there anyway to keep the radio from losing "reception" everytime i get a text or is that the nature of the CDMA network

That is the nature of CDMA, however, you could listen to the radio on your WIFI network, and still text.

iheartradio won't play on anything but wifi for me, so it's not an issue here :P

Won't work here in data roaming (1x) like the others do and didn't work the last couple days while I was in 3g coverage... Works great here at home though
