How many do you have?

How many do you have?
BuglessBeast V 0.4 (Froyo2.2)
P3 Kernal 1.2
Speed test Down 1821 Up 754
MFLOPS 19.256
Quadrant 1805
how many what? and who are you asking?
They do/have. Isn't this thread titled BEST BACKUP APP? It would be dificult, and foolish, for Google or Verizon to offer one. First of all things (software and hardware) change. Should their backups allow you back up hidden files or folders? Second of all why would Verizon or Google want to deal with so many people who think that they have backed up everything only to find out they didn't? I wouldn't want to deal with most of the users on this forum in a tech support role. It is easier to have someone moan for 2-3 minutes about NOT being able to back up their stuff than deal with a customer yelling because they did not do it right.
Where would they back it up to? One of the beauties of the Droid is that it frees you from being chained to an Operating System. In addition to the options in this thread you have the option of learning how to make a tar ball and doing it yourself.
I want to bump this because i want good and reliable one that will backup EVERYTHING, and if your going to a custom rom and using my backup pro, wont it delete the program as well as the backups. then you wouldnt be able to get them, or where are the backup save on the pnone so i could put it on my computer

Best backup if rooted is Titanium IMHO. You have to be rooted, but it will cover your butt and allow you to easily correct broken links to the market.
Wow. I joined just to comment on this idiot.
First, you jump all over a noob's ass for asking a very reasonable question, as though you are the master of all things Droid.
Then you ask the world to make a complex and sophisticated app for you (can't ya do it yourself, Droid Master?) and you ask them to do it for FREE.
I would worry that you are the future of our society, but I'm pretty sure if I ever saw you I'd only have to say "Yes, I'd like fries with that."
Titanium Backup is the greatest - get the donate version and it's one touch re-installation of all your apps with data
ROM: Something fast
Root your machine and get Titanium Backup. I'm using it now, it's awesome. Bulk backup your entire phone (all apps, settings, everything!) and it saves them to a folder on your SD card. I recommend backing them up a second time to your PC so your stuff is saved in two places.
You can switch back and forth to different roms and then load up titanium and instantly bring over all of your stuff. All you need is the free version.
This is precisely why I want a backup app - so that I can root my phone. Won't everything be wiped if I do so? I was planning to follow this guide:
Video: Installing Stock 2.1 With Root Access | Droid Life: A Motorola Droid Blog
I switched over to a moto droid months ago from a Treo 700 and forgot until now that I no longer can tether. I have a business trip coming up in 2 days and I've really got to re-enable that feature while I'm on the road for a week. Seems simple enough I just have to root, but it involves wiping the phone so... a bit confused about rooting so that I can have a good backup app, when the backup app is needed in order to root. Time loops make my head spin. LOL
Thanks all,
Jonathan
