I find the "dumping" of these Verizon cases on Ebay VERY interesting! There may be some validity to the Rumor of the "recall" on these cases due to the before mentioned minor "defect" of them not fitting perfectly/tightly on the upper right hand corner.

I am starting to wonder if the manufacture is dumping these to "ebay wholesalers" because they are revising the case to fix this small fitment issue on new production..

Time will tell, even though it really doesn't bother me(and I would never have noticed had it not been pointed out) if I do see a newer version out that fits better in that small area I will take my original back to Verizon for an exchange.

The ones on ebay are the ones that were recalled and scrapped. I discovered the difference between the current ones and the scrapped ones in this discussion:

Start with post #55. The scrapped ones have extra tabs on the screen side part that could tear the key stickers off the keyboard. Minkyboi describes the porblem it caused him in post #49. There may be additional differences, but that is the only obvious one. For me, I would rather pay $30 and not damage my Droid, but if you are willing to risk it, so be it.

You're welcome. Note that there are 2 tabs on that side. Remove both of them. I personally still wouldn't risk the junked ones, but if that is the only problem then removal should fix it.

Not a bad idea to get a spare holster in case the spring breaks. I might consider that.
