Need Ideas on Work-around accessories
Been scratching my brain for a few weeks.
Have the Moto Droid and the MotoDroid Car Dock. Non power version. Grabbed a longer cord for charging and it works fine.
Would like to pump music through the FM radio but don't want to have to buy a new Dock system to do it. The car stereo does not have a jack input.
Is there an effective way to just set up a bluetooth style connection to play music like the from the playlist and from pandora?

Get an fm transmitter. They plug into the headphone jack on the droid and will send a signal to a radio station (usually a transmitter can send to a few different ones so you can pick one that isn't in use) and you tune your radio to that station to listen to it.
Something like this:

Amazon.com: iriver AFT 100 Mobile FM Transmitter: Electronics

The image above shows a transmitter that is sending to 88.7. So you tune your radio to 88.7 and whatever that headphone cable is plugged into will come thru the radio.

Yes, tune you radio into whatever station you have it set to, and it comes across that radio station. It's like having your own personal itty bitty radio station.
They do work, I used one for a while, however the sound quality leaves something to be desired and if you live in a decent sized city, its even worse, you have to change stations often because of real radio tower bleeding through.
A lot has to do with your car's antenna as well, I found that whip antennas worked best(preferably front mounted) and that the antennas inside the windows were worse.
Hope that helps, they are not great, but they will do the job.
Another thing you can look into is a FM Modulator
Watch this cnet video for an explanation.

Some of the FM modulators are pretty nice, if you can find one that you plug into the back of the stereo between the antenna/radio then it will have better sound quality.

There are definitely bluetooth kits but you'd need to see what works with your car's head unit.
