DROID vent mounted car dock

I searched the forum but didn't find anything that meets these requirements:

1. Must have a magnet
2. Must be vent mount
3. Must NOT be universal
4. Must not require buying a new case (must work naked).
5. Must not look horrendously dumb (see #3)


I figured something like this would be quite easy to find. Any decent finds out there? Thanks.

I wouldn't mind finding a vent mounted car dock for rather cheap price myself. However, I sort of lean towards not wanting the magnet, because I have the VZW window mount, and when I'm in the car, 99% of the time I know where I'm going, so I am playing Slacker radio. To me it gets sort of annoying to have to hit the home on the screen to go back to see the song playing on Slacker.

Go to proclipusa.com and find the mount for your car (many go over the vent) and the garmin nuvi device holder (part #215165). Then attach the motorola car dock to it (uses the same size ball mount as the garmin nuvi).

Well I have seen nothing that matches your need out of the box. However, you could make exactly what you want but it won't be cheap. Start with the standard Verizon car dock and remove the holder from the ball. Second, get a vent mount with an AMPS plate such as this:

Then add one of these Garmin ball to AMPS plate adapters:


Then snap on your Verizon holder to the ball mount and your done!
