Ordered a Ballistic case for my Droid X

What up,

My first post here. I have been enjoying reading about the Droid. I am receiving my Droid X on Friday and decided to go with a Ballistic (black on black) case. Getting the case on Friday also.

I'll throw up some pictures and my thoughts when I get it.

Does anyone have one?

Just a quick word of advice. Ebay sells great cases nd for a low price

Ebay sells cheap terrible cases, check out Seidio.com for good cases. Don't buy cheap cases unless you want a cheap case.

Sorry for the crappy pix (and the the long time that it took me to take them). Just finished my Bachelor's and was really busy w/ that. I'm still really lovin this case. The volume control and the red camera button to take a picture are covered by the rubber (but you can still easily use both of these functions). For $36 bucks it's a great case IMO.

Honestly, it's clunky. It barely fits in my back pocket (wearing jeans).

Best case by far...easy install/remove, tackish grip, adds lest bulk I've seen, great access to all buttons, colors really reinvents phone and compliments wallpaper colors. I have blue and smoke...love it!!! As cheap as $5.95 on ebay. See: PawAvenue.com

Since when is it cool to pay a lot of money for crap like the ballistic case? Unless in an actual ballistic situation where the ballistic case could actually protect your phone (which it couldn't and wouldn't) I see no reason to lug around that fallout shelter of a case.

Here's my take on the Ballistic and other brand cases like it...Given that your phone is no more protected than the amount of pressure put upon the totally unprotected display the ballistic case is OVERKILL, techno nerd pocket protector for your phone. Honestly those kinds of cases make you look either like you didn't know what you were buying or a conspiracy theorizing accident prone geek.

BTW: Mentioning that there are better or just other alternative to the subject at hand and where one might get them is not advertising as much as it is sharing ideas and expanding readers awareness. That's why I come to the forum. Besides crusading against a resource like ebay (where smart people go to save money) is just dumb.
