i remember seeing this a few months back, i searched and couldnt find it so im making a new thread.
I sometimes record my friends bands performances and well, i can never get a whole show recorded because my video camera just stops recording without me pressing the red button or anything. It always happens around 25 minutes give or take.
Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a fix for this?

This happened to me on my phone while recording a July 4th fireworks show, I had to start a new recording to get the last part of the show. I just figured it was something to do with size requirements for a single video because I have plenty of space on my SD card.
Has anyone noticed a fix after the ICS update? I still need to test it out.
Probably a file size limitation more than anything else. FAT32 has a 4GB file size limit and IIRC that's the format of the file system used by the phone.
I tried recording again. It stopped at 17:04 minutes. the file size is 1.81 GB..

I had the exact same problem as the previous post. Recording stood after 1.81 GB exactly. As a rest I tried 1080p, 720p and 480p... On all cases it stopped at 1.81 GB.. Over course with the lower resolutions the record time was greater but it always stops at 1.81 GB. I tried writing to the internal card as well as the 16 GB expansion card which was virtually empty... Same problem all the time! !
So it is not linked to recording time. Note that the file size limit for FAT32 is 4 GB so we are not running into this either.
This is running ICS that came with the phone...
Once again any help or suggestions are welcome! Or any other interesting tests. Try out yourself and see of your limit is 1.81 GB and reply.
Im gonna test this out for myself. Thanks for the comments, now we are getting to the bottom of the problem. From there we might be able to fix it or find a way around it.
