    Anyone tried swapping the battery?

Hey guys, sorry if this is a re-post I tried searching the forum before posting and I couldn't find a similar thread so here it goes:

I swapped out my Bionic for the Droid 4 a few weeks ago. I loved the Bionic, especially with a 2800 mAh extended battery but my fingers are just not meant for touch screen typing lol. Hence why I got the Droid 4. I knew the battery was "not removable" and that I'm pretty much stuck with the 1800 mAh it comes with but it just simply does not cut it for me. I am no doubt a heavy user, I tried adjusting the screen brightness and all those sections as much as possible and I can not get my droid 4 to last me a full day on a single charge. Hell, I'd settle for charging it twice a day but right now I have to charge it 3-4 times a day

So my question is, has any one tried doing some sort of a boot leg battery swap? I'm just baffled why you can just pull that damn sticker off, find an extended battery that fits those connectors, hack up the battery door cover so it fits and call it a day. Am I crazy for saying that lol?

I can't remember who but some company had a facebook poll awhile back asking for feedback on this very issue.
They wanted to make an extended battery kit that would include a new backdoor, a battery, and I think the t5 bit to remove the "non-user-replaceable" battery from the device.

It should be doable, I think the issue is no company wants to force users to void their warranty doing a procedure that could nuke the phone if messed up.

I have actually looked into trying to buy a second D4 battery and hooking it up roughly parallel to the OEM and modifiying my inductive door to support to the new thickness. But the oem batteries are $50 and that is a lot to spend when I do not know how well it would work.
