I am going from an ICS rom to this one. Whenever I restore any phone data (mms, background, contacts, etc.) I get a pop up that process.Android (or something similar) has stopped working. When I press OK it comes right back up. Can I not restore data that was backed up on an ICS rom and restore it on a JB rom?
You never restore system app data.
Contacts should be backed up by Google (in your gmail account), backgrounds are part of the launcher or gallery images and so forth...
Backup user data (game saves, downloaded app configurations, etc..) but not system functions (contacts, wallpaper, device configurations, etc.)

Just installed this ROM. First ROM I've ever installed. Am I the only one for whom the camera still does not work? When I first try to open it it says that the Gallery has stopped working and crashes. Interestingly, I can open up the Gallery app by itself. Here's what I did to install it:
1. Booted into Safe Mode in Safety Strap
2. Factory reset/wipe of the data, wiped cache, wiped the other cache (blanking on the name... starts with a "d"), and formatted /system. (In that order, if I remember correctly)
2. Did the Install from .zip using the 10/14 version from my external sd card.
3. Installed the Gapps from my external sd card.
4. Booted phone up and went through initial setup.
5. Looked around some, tried out the camera (which promptly crashed), the Gallery (wouldn't load) discovered that sound wasn't working properly (ringtones wouldn't play, lock screen noises wouldn't play) and rebooted. The reboot fixed the sound issue and the Gallery app itself but still got the same error and crash from the camera.
Any suggestions to fix the camera?
Other than that it seems to be pretty cool so far. Thanks for the hard work!
Backup your data from the SD card and format it. That's what I did, and it worked fine.Quote:

i just reinstalled the same rom on top of my existing rom a second time. also there are 2 jelly bean gooapps. the larger one gave me issues. i used the smaller one. no need to backup or format anything
