    [ROM] [Nightlies] CM9/ICS UNOFFICIAL Kexec builds

    FLASHING ROMS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY AND COULD POTENTIALLY DAMAGE YOUR PHONE -- WHILE I MAKE EVERY ATTEMPT NOT TO LET THIS HAPPEN, IT'S STILL A RISK THAT YOU'RE TAKING. IF SOMETHING BAD SHOULD HAPPEN TO YOUR PHONE, PLEASE DON'T BLAME ME -- HENCE THIS WARNING.

    This isn't so much a ROM announcement as it is a direction to find the unofficial nightly builds of CM9 Kexec for the Droid 4.

    Prerequisites:
    - Rooted
    - Running ICS OTA or .217 leak (they are the same)
    - SafeStrap 2.11 or 2.10 (needs KEXEC support for KEXEC builds)

    Download SafeStrap here
    Safestrap Mirror1 (v2.11) (Thx mj084!)
    Safestrap Mirror2 (v2.10)

    Download ROM here

    Download ICS GApps Here (04/29 build)
    ICS GApps Mirror1 (04/29 build)
    FLASH THE GAPPS.ZIP FILE AFTER YOU FLASH THE ROM .ZIP


    Directions:

    1. Root your stock system
    2. Install SafeStrap 2.10+ (for Kexec support)
    3. Backup stock system
    4. Toggle to SAFE system (safe to screw things up!)
    5. Flash the ROM .zip like any other ROM
    6. Flash the GApps .zip
    7. Reboot and enjoy!

    What works?
    4G data and calls
    Flash (HW Codecs?)
    Wifi
    SMS and MMS

    Whats broken?
    Audio while bluetooth is left on and disconnected.
    Built-in wifi tether.
    Camera (front and back)
    USB Audio (Car Dock audio connection)
    Touchscreen is finnicky.


    Specs:
    Kernel 3.0.31
    Latest Gfx drivers from TI
    CM9
    Android 4.0.4 ICS

    How stable is the data connection? In the last version of the CM9 nightly I used (7/25), I would still drop data every few hours. Sometimes it was insignificant, other times they got me in trouble because I didn't get emails in time.

    Been running it all day and have had 4g the whole time. Switching to wifi and back was good as well. Been trying to get the camera to work but no such luck.

    Weird, the CM9 non-kexec shows 840MB of RAM for me, and probably everyone else on the build.
