Droid 4 Utility Updated

So I'm on cm9. Can I use the utility to do everything I need to get to .211? What would the process be? I'm looking around the forums, but there is a lot of information in different places.

If you are still on GB under the rom you have to do more than uninstall safestrap. Read here how it changes the logwrapper: How-To Safestrap « Hash-of-Codes Not sure if that will be enough. You can try flashing the ics OTA. Worst that will happen is failure and reboot to GB. The tool will allow you to fastboot back to stock GB if you want, if you are on GB now.

You can try this: using a root explorer (i like ES File Explorer) go to the system/bin file and look for two "logwrapper" files, delete the one named logwrapper (or just cut and past to your sd if your nervous) and then rename the one named logwrapper.bin to just logwrapper. Reboot and try to install. If this fails you can try using RSD and the fastboot file to repair not just restore. Connect your phone by USB in charge only mode and try flashing the fasboot file. By not starting in recovery it may just clear out anything preventing the ICS upgrade. And if that fails you can try a data reset, and if that fails fastboot the usual way.

If you try any of this please let me know if it works at all.

I used safestrap, and got on cm9. If I disable safe I will go back to stock yeah? Then from there use the tool to get on 211?

The Lite version is good to go. The other is so big that it takes several hours to upload.

Alright so if id take the 212 leak and kernel and replace the ones from the current version it would work

212 Kernel is in the lite version, you need the 212 OTA zip and the fasboot files to use it.

I am just going to kill the full version and write the instructions out to use the lite with downloading the other files. I will post up links to all the files you need shortly. It just takes too long to upload the full every time i make a change.
