Unhappy Bootloader always prompting after failed flashing

    hi guys,
i tried to flash VRZ_XT894_6.7.2-180_DR4-16_M2-37_1FF but it failed on RSD lite. maybe because i tried it on a GSM... after restarting phone, i am always prompted in AP flashboot Flash mode. to start android i have to press power + voulme up and down and select normal powerup in bootmode, every time. any way to avoid passing through bootloader at every restart?
    help!

    added link

gms has nothing to do with xml flash failing
install moto driversMOTOROLA DEVICE (Drivers) MANAGER
retry rsd lite or use Droid 4 Utility

may need to wipe data in Android Recovery

do not flash VRZ_XT894_6.7.2-180_DR4-16_M2-37_1FF.xml if AP Fastboot has been upgraded to version 0A.77

thanks themib. so you think the issue was just the drivers that i took from first post of this thread instead of motorola device manager? i wiped before and ap fastboot is 0a.74...

those driver should have been fine, if correct drivers are not installed, error can be found in device manager
go to device manager start/control panel/hardware & sound/under devices & printers you should see device manager open it

with phone iin AP fastboot Mode (0A.74)
in device manager look for ADB Interface, if you have the drivers should be ok, if you don't see that
look for a yellow triangle in front of a unknown device or XT894 , uninstall device, disconnect phone, reinstall drivers

after drivers are installed, you should reboot pc, not rebooting may have caused the issue
after pc has rebooted, reconnect phone, in device manager look for ADB Interface

I'm having a ton of issues since updating my phone, the main one being that my texts now have about a 50% send rate. Almost all of the texts I try to send are listed as "sending", therefore I don't even know which ones are actually going through. My phone is not rooted. Anyone else having this issue, hopefully someone who can provide some assistance?

Thanks for the quick response! Not to sound like a complete idiot, but i'm assuming wiping "data" includes everything... texts, pics, contacts, apps, etc? Or is it more like clearing my phone's cache?

EDIT: Did a bit more research and realized that it will infact erase everything. I'd really rather not take that route, and from searching online it seems the problem I'm having since the JB update is fairly common. I'm gonna give it a week or two and hope for an update.

    wiping data deletes 'user data'
    or
you could try menu>manage apps>all>text messaging> clear data ( you may want to backup texts before clearing data)

if you try wiping data/ factory restore
contacts need to be backed up see backing up contacts
texts and call log can be backed up with SMS Backup + or several other apps
apps can be restored with google account, but if you have app data you want use Titanium Backup pro (requires root)

pics are stored on internal or external sd card and are not wiped unless you select wipe sd card option
***but you should copy to pc to be sure they are stored in dcim/camera may be pics on both internal and external card

edit; should add if you use the menu>settings>privacy>factory data reset it may wipe internal card

I get this error whenever I try to fasboot. I have tried to make space on both the external and internal SD cards, and make space on my computers Hard drive all have at least 4 gigs free. Any help?

Edit* I think I figured it out I will report back shortly

Yeah it was not clear to me in the instructions that you were to flash the .xml file that you extract from the .zip file. not the actual .zip file itself. Tried flashing the .xml extracted from the .zip and it worked perfectly.
