Some pictures on MOTG DCIM (Phone), some on Removable SD Card

it makes no sense. Some pictures (or series of pictures, sometimes even the series of pics is broken up) are on my sd card, some on phone (motg). So I try to see them on computer, it's a pain, and basically half my pictures are on one, half the other. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason, I take a bunch of pics, I plug into computer, it's on one side, then i take some more, it's on the other.

Quite obnoxious, nothing on search shows it.

Some applications save by default to your external storage and some, namely Moto apps, to the internal. Try seeing if there are options in these apps to change the default location of where pictures are stored.

I faced this problem until I made the jump to Jellybean roms on safestrap 3.x, because these roms treat the sd card as the default storage space
