Flashing from ICS -> GB?

What steps / precautions should I take when flashing my ICS (hashcode cm9) to a GB ROM? Is there anything I would need to do besides wipe data / cache?

Thanks! I wanted to double check if anyone has done this to avoid bricking my day-to-day phone.

I'd say the same as above, though once each is more than enough. Most ROMs will format /system as part of the install, but I suppose there may be one that does not. Wipe data/factory reset also wipes Dalvik cache, but it doesn't hurt to do so discretely. More than once is just wasting battery.
