You'd have to root to do that and the one in the app drawer is as good a candidate for freezing as any. You just have to look for posts on which apps to freeze, or which not to, to make sure first.

Really? My mistake for the assumption.

I just tried 226 for the hell of it...talked about some iPhone mess so I hung up, lol.

Do *22899 and wait for it to hang up. Repeat monthly.
    Do you like uninstallable bloatware?
It takes about 5 minutes to complain and it's kinda fun. Let's not be complacent!

Sounds like to me the battery that you have in it now is bad and the advanced task killer is helping you much either

Unfortunately, the droid 3's battery dies too quickly. I have to charge my phone about 4 times a day.

I always disable my background date when not in use.

I have the app adanced task killer, which is useless.

    Data saver is on.

My battery mode is on maximum battery saver.

Also, i disable date access over mobile network when not in use.

When i'm not able to charge my phone throughout the day, i put my phone on sleep mode (sometimes, because i do need to keep it on)

are there any apps that would actually work/help? Any tips?

I love my droid 3, i just hate it's battery life.

Could it be that i may need a new battery?

Anything helps, please & thanks in advance

What does *22899 actually do. The reason I ask is that I'm at 2 days, 2 hours of normal use and still have 50% battery (extended). Always want better, but don't want to mess up a good thing.

From my understanding it updates your PRL ( preferred roaming list?). In other words, it programs your phone to find the best and latest cell tower to use providing you with a stronger signal. You might want to Google "prl" for a better definition, i could be wrong

    ... excellent battery life BTW...
