Anybody upgraded to droid 3 from droid 2global

I had the OG droid and it was much louder than the droid3. Other than that I love this phone. The keyboard is the bomb. Its super fast and real smooth looks to boot.

I've had the og droid, and the droid 2 global. But to answer your question, d3 compared to the d2g, the earpiece volume during calls is extremely better on the d3. Speaker phone during calls is better but the phone speaker when playing music seems a little lower to me. The phone is worlds faster than the d2g even if your d2g has cyanogenmod. There are some random reboots but that should be fixed in a matter of time. Screen looks better to me and the pentile doesn't really bother me. D3 battery life is also worlds better than the d2g. When you sit your phone down battery just doesn't drain for no reason. Camera is better even if the pics have a blue tent sometimes. Keyboard is the best I've used. The screen size is perfect and the phone size is bigger but you will get use to it in no time.
