    Is it REALLY gorilla glass?

I don't really think it is...in about 2 days of just being in my pocket and hands it already has a couple of scratches on the screen, they are only visible when the screen is off though. On my Droid I never have gotten a scratch on the what I think is TRUE gorilla glass...but on my Droid 3 in less than 2 days I've gotten a couple visible ones. Anyone else getting scratches without much use?

No scratches here, and I've had it for a week.

There was a thread about this a week ago. A few other also reported scratches, seems it might not be true gorilla glass. I've been rocking a screen protector since day 1. I got it on 100% perfect so I dont notice it, except it tends to be slightly harder to wipe down/clean than the regular screen.

Read that there is an anti-glare coating as well. Could it be the coating getting scratched off?

I'm the one who started the thread about a week ago. I've since replaced my first D3 since it was also randomly rebooting. I had one long scratch like you desribe... slight.. but there. Original Droid screen is pristine and it was always naked.

I have the out-of-box protector still on mine until I pick up a proper protector. Not taking chances. Maybe it is the antiglare coating. The scratch was quite shallow, but was still going to bug the sh** out of me being there.

All this time I though Gorilla Glass was a Screen protector, But I've been rocking a Screen protector day one, There is no scratchs on the edges the screen protector doesn't fit though
