droid 3 .... lost ?

good morning.

i recently purchased a droid 3 from a certain "prick" (those that lie and steal and thief)

and there fore i ended up with a droid 3, which doesnt give me any signal (meaning bars of reception) from my carrier or the original carrier itself

the phone doesnt even pull up to the unlock screen if you try to insert a different sim in it, and on top of that if you try to look for the imei number, there is none, neither through the droid softare---> about phone and neither through this code *#06# the imei comes up blank. im not sure whats going on or how i can fix it.

any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

Your imei is printed behind the battery. What carrier you trying to use it on? Also you might want to sbf. What version is it Verizon's or international?

its originally from bell canada. yes i know the imei number is in the back why it doesnt show inside the phone bothers me, and makes me wonder, hence i asked.
im trying to use it on KOODO mobile in canada.
i ordered the unlock code but it doesnt go to unlock screen for me to unlock it, and on top of that i tried the carrier sim (bell) and it still no service bars and neither with the koodo sim.
