    Question Anoying error message

I need your help before I throw this phone in the lake
Does anyone know how to get rid of this annoying error message:

    The application Data Manager Service
    (process.com.motorola.process.system)
    has stopped unexpectedly
    Please try again

It is driving me crazy. It just all of a sudden started popping up and now even distrupts my game play.
I went to a Verizon store and they had no idea.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give.

Before doing any of this backup your data you want to keep if it messes something up and you have to factory reset. Go to settings/applications/ manage applications, choose the tab one top that says ALL wait for it to load and go to data manager and then hit clear data and reboot your phone. You could also try a battery pull while the phone is on to see if that helps. Oh and are you rooted?

    Exclamation the annoying error message.

I am having the same issue.
Did you ever solve it or did you end up trashing the phone?
My problems started after about 8 months and while at first there was only an error once in a while - today it's all the time!
It is driving me crazy! I have removed all the apps that I put on it and virtually wiped it clean but it has not helped - so I just put them back.

Then I cleared my Data Manager Application as rvcjew suggested to no avail.
I am a bit leary to do a factory reset since I don't know how much of my phone I will lose. I have it all backed up but it still makes me nervous!

Oh- and I have no idea what 'rooted' means or if I am or not! Did I say I'm new to this?

    Thanks

Doing a factory reset is not as scary as it sounds. Your internal storage does not get wiped. Your apps, settings, and saved games will. You can reinstall your apps from play store, menu>my apps>all.

But, as always, it should be your last resort.

Generally a factory reset will solve most issues
It will erase everything on the phone but not the sd cards
If that doesn't solve it you may have to do a sbf
