Phone calender notifications

My event notificatons go off randomly and all at once. I use the calender that came with the phone to schedule event reminders (like when my favorite show comes on or when a special event is going to happen). Ever since I got the phone, the reminders randomly alarm and all at once too...with PAST EVENTS!!! I just heard it "da-beep da-beep boo" (the sound it makes for each alarm) a bunch of times and notging is set to go off until 8pm (it is only 3pm right now). My phone said I have 11 event notifications, I checked them and their all past events that I was already notified about... a WEEK ago! I dismissed them the correct way... and now their notifying me all over again..
The dates still show that the events were from a week ago, so it's not the date that's messed up.
My phone's been doing this for a long time, please help me stop it.

Do you happen to use an automatic task killer app? If so, try turning it off and see if that fixes the problem.
