Please help!

So heres the deal. Im not a complete technological noob, but I was trying to flash Steel Droid to my phone and it ended up bricking. So, many sleepless hours later i used Psouza's script to get it back to normal (ish). It had all the chinese apps still on it but that was fine. My main problem is that it says im on the 5.6.890 update but nothing is fixed. The phone still acts as if it was on the original OS. Is there anyway to fix this? Would i have to downgrade? Thanks for any help in advance and sorry if this is a noob question.
