    Developers can pick it apart and get more info from it than they could get from on the actual phone. Due to the phones permissions, some files can't be read and trying to access them by whatever hacking methods are at hand risks bricking the phone.

    I think. I'm not a developer. Just an obsessive follower of the forums discussing root for D3.
